I’m a megaphone for my favorite things, places, and people. I sing praises often and want you to know the joy I know when I eat a certain thing, or experience an awesome place, in hopes that you too could know a similar joy. Enter Polkadots Cupcake Factory.
In the last 7 years of food blogging, I’ve found a thriving food-writing community. When we get together, we trade notes on our favorite eats around town. I was startled how few of my peers know of Polkadots Cupcake Factory! I decided to help Olga, the proprietor and creative director of Polkadots Cupcake Factory host a dessert party for some of my favorite media people.
We got together on her cozy patio and in her adorable shop. She curated a menu of miniature cupcakes for us and we proceeded to have cupcakes for dinner. I’m really picky about icing and resigned myself to a life of scraping off icings. That is, until 7 years ago, I tried Olga’s cupcakes. I could eat a tub of her icing! Her icing is light and airy and perfectly whipped. Her cakes. never dry. I don’t know about you, but dry cupcakes make me cranky. If you visit her shop on Thursdays, you’ll also find macarons!
Lastly, if you’re in the market for customized cakes, her work is impeccable! You can gawk at some of her custom orders on her instagram.
